Mesa Downtown Merchants were proud to announce a celebration of Mesa Old West Days. This expanded community centered event showcased the rich pioneer and territorial history of Mesa, Arizona. Featured events: Western Re-enactments Featuring the Mojave Muleskinners, Western Music, Fancy Roping, Celebrities such as Michael Dante and Peter Brown, 9th Cavalry Buffalo Soldiers, Association of Arizona Gunslingers Cowboy Fast Draw Competition, Various Vittle Vendors & Refreshments , Western Merchants and Artisans, Old West Shooting Gallery, and Kiddie Rides.

Yeeeee-Haw!!! Downtown Mesa to Kick Up Some Dust During the 6th Annual Mesa Old West Days Festival Grab your cowboy hat, put your boots on and prepare for some rootin- tootin- fun because another Mesa Old West Days Festival is just around the corner! This event, organized by several downtown Mesa merchants, will be on Main Street between Country Club Drive and Center Street. It will be a 1 day event this year, on Saturday November 10th from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. This year we will be running the event well into the evening so folks can experience the full fun of the event well after dinner time! The festival will capture the rugged excitement of the Old West that will keep the whole family engaged throughout the Festival. This years- Mesa Old West Days will feature the Mojave Muleskinners Old West Re-enactors in gunfight performances featuring and the 9th Cavalry Buffalo Soldiers in full military garb. Festival attendees will also enjoy a Period Costume Contest with Prizes. We once again will be hosting the Rio Salado Vaqueros Cowboy Fast Draw Competition featuring some of the fastest Cowboy Fast-Draw talent in the nation including World and National champions in attendance. There will be live Western Music and Entertainment on our large center stage including the groups Superstition Ridge Bluegrass, Nancy and the Katy Creek Band, Chris and Dave Blue Grass & More, and Joe Bethancourt. We will also have an 1880-s Variety Show on hand. Mosey on over to see Old West Craftsman & Artisans, Old-Time Photography, Kiddie Pony Rides, and a Train that runs throughout the event. There will also be a Blacksmith with a full working forge creating treasures while you watch, and strolling figures all dressed up in 19th century finery. Bring your Wide-Open-Range Appetite with you because we-ll have plenty of Vittles and Refreshments for sale to satisfy even the hungriest of wranglers Admission to the Mesa Old West Days Festival plus parking is FREE and parking will be available in the large public lot at the southeast corner of Macdonald Street and First Avenue.

Mesa Old West Days Festival Saturday & Sunday – November 7th and 8th 2009 50 West Main St. Mesa, Arizona 85201 On Saturday October 18th of 2008 a group of downtown Mesa merchants staged the Mesa Old West Days Festival. We were quite pleased with the results. The public was excited and very anxious to see such an event more often. Attendance at the event was estimated at over 6,000. With this in mind we are expanding this years event to 2 days. More gunfight reenactments. Sanctioned fast draw event. Music. Food. Costume contest. Old West merchandise vendors. Chuck Wagons. Civil War re-enactors. Buffalo soldiers. Rootin' tootin' fun!
