The week of March 8-14, 2020 was chosen for our 25-year Anniversary celebration held at the place where it all began, Goldfield Ghost Town!
The weather was perfect for the first part of the week until the rains almost took out all the tents in the middle of the week. The second weekend did not disappoint us; Saturday the 14th was beautiful! Sun was out and Muleskinners started arriving to commemorate our anniversary. Gila Jim, who hasn't been out for a couple seasons, even made it out! Day of gunfights, then we all met up at the steakhouse for dinner and a special appearance by Lee Anderson and his wife Sandi, who came out of their retirement to perform for us! Topped off with a cake, especially made for the occasion by Dizzy Lizzy - Hell, take a look at it in our photos! The remainder of the evening was spent down at the Mojave Muleskinner shack with a nice bonfire and an impromptu jam session.
An enormous thank you to Mustang Robin, Dizzy Lizzy! and everyone else that has been been doing a fantastic job of taking pictures and posting them on the Mojave Muleskinners Facebook page.
NOTE: Right after our encampment, March 2020 saw the country shut-down with stay in place orders due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. We had to cut our gunfighting season short at Goldfield Ghost Town. History was made.
