New Years in Arizona
Goldfield Ghost Town
January 2003
With the surreal Superstition Mountains as our backdrop, the Mojave
Muleskinners gathered at Goldfield Ghost Town to celebrate and welcome in the
New Years with old friends and new. With the discovery of the mines at Goldfield in 1892, Goldfield became a booming
community once boasting a population of 3 to 5 thousand people. There were 3
saloons, a hotel, boarding houses and a general store. Since the legendary Lost
Dutchman Mine has never been rediscovered, the Superstition Mountains draw
adventurers seeking lost gold as well as recreational riches.
Thank You, Mojave Muleskinners, for another spectacular New Years event!
